We had to return the car to the Avis rental office at Edinburgh Airport and so drove south via Kintail, Glengarry, Spean Bridge, the A9 and the new Forth Road Bridge. We passed many familiar places like Loch Lochy, the Drumochter Hills and Loch Leven. It had snowed overnight and the summits were white. We met up with Jesper for a snack at House of Bruar. Jesper took us on to York for our stay with Gail . She had organised a “mini college reunion” with Tony Gregory.
